We are still waiting for an exit letter for Imara to travel to the U.S. for medical care.
We are hopeful that it may finally happen....last week DGM issued an exit letter for another child with a medical visa and he made it to the U.S. on Thursday!! He has already had one surgery and planning is underway for the additional procedures he will need! Thank the Lord!!
One of the physicians that initially reviewed Imara's case and wrote the medical letter required for her medical visa just landed in Kinshasa today to work with some hospitals there and do check ups for children in foster care. We are hoping and praying that DGM will issue the exit letter this week and the doctor will be allowed to escort Imara to the U.S.!
